Steve lives in Praa Sands with his wife and two dogs. He manages to get onto the beach with the dogs most days and combine this with his keen interest in bird watching. He is a lifelong supporter of Liverpool FC. He plays chess (badly, according to Steve) and enjoys the occasional pint of real ale.

On an ideal weekend, you can find me:
Doing the supermarket run before walking the dogs and meeting up with friends in the pub for an afternoon pint.
My favourite holiday destination is:
On a narrowboat on a canal! I’ve had more than 20 narrowboat holidays, and I am never more relaxed than when chugging along at four miles an hour.

Anything with loud guitars and shouting. I’m a big fan of punk and indie music from the 70s, 80s and 90s.

A Beatles album, but it turned out to be a collection of very bad Beatles covers.
If I could be any fictional character, I would be:

If I could turn any activity into an Olympic sport, I would win a medal in:
Dunking a Digestive biscuit in tea and achieving the perfect consistency.
When the dessert menu arrives, I’m looking for:
Creme brulee.
The three qualities that draw me to new people are:
People who don’t take themselves too seriously
Are not intolerant of others
● Are worse at chess than I am
Are not intolerant of others
● Are worse at chess than I am
My pet peeve is:
A badly loaded dishwasher.
The best gift I’ve ever received is:
A “Chopper” bike when I was about 10 or 11. I was the king of our street.
The three people at my dream dinner party would be:
My wife and two daughters. There is nobody else I would rather spend time with.
The three small things that make my day better are:
A day without Phil Collins on the office radio, regular cups of tea, being greeted by my dogs when I get home
The proudest moment of my career so far is:
Being able to share my success with my wife on several occasions, including when I qualified for overseas conventions when I worked for a bank.
The three things I love most about my job are:
Meeting new people every day, office banter, the views across Mount’s Bay on the drive to and from work
The types of people I most enjoy working with are:
People who can make me laugh, care about customer service, and are success-oriented.
